Durham County seeks $584,085 contingency increase for 500 E. Main parking deck
The Board was asked to appropriate $584,085 from Debt Service fund balance to PAYGO and increase the owner’s contingency for the 500 E. Main Street parking deck development agreement with ZOM Living to address closeout items, bringing the deck budget to about $35.23 million.

County staff requested that the Board approve Capital Project Amendment No.26CPA020 and Budget Ordinance Amendment No.26BCC062 to appropriate $584,085 of Debt Service Fund fund balance to the PAYGO Fund and increase the owner’s contingency for the 500 E. Main Street parking deck development agreement with ZOM Living. The total updated project budget would rise to $35,228,701 to address closeout and occupancy items, such as electric vehicle charging infrastructure, additional signage/branding, bollards and pay‑on‑foot machines.
