Chattahoochee County ends contract with Fort Benning stray facility
The Cusseta‑Chattahoochee County Commission voted unanimously Nov. 4 to end its contract with the Fort Benning stray facility, saying the intergovernmental service agreement did not meet county requirements and that the county will work through the notice period.

At its Nov. 4 meeting, the Commission of the Unified Government of Cusseta‑Chattahoochee County voted unanimously to terminate the county’s contract with the Fort Benning stray facility. Commissioner Gerald Douglas moved to end the agreement; Commissioner Jason Frost seconded the motion, and the vote was recorded as unanimous.
