Zoning Administrator Jason Mackelprang and County Attorney Casey Jewkes explained the resolution would formalize responsibilities between the county and municipalities when a building permit is finalized; Mackelprang said the county had previously relied on verbal understandings but recommended written agreements to clarify duties.
Commissioner Ralph Brown moved to adopt Resolution 2025-9-1 and authorize execution of the interlocal agreements; Commissioner Greg Jensen seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The resolution directs staff to finalize and execute the interlocal agreements; the minutes do not include the full text of individual interlocal contracts or a schedule for implementation.
