Sevier County adopts Brooklyn zoning district to ease lot development

Commissioner Scott Johnson opened the hearing; no members of the public addressed the commission. Commissioner Ralph Brown moved to adopt the ordinance, Commissioner Greg Jensen seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
County officials framed the amendment as a technical zoning fix intended to enable sensible infill and lot consolidation rather than a wholesale rewrite of policy. The action follows standard public-notice procedures: a public hearing was held and the commission voted to amend Chapter 154 (Zoning) of the Sevier County Code.
