At its March 11 meeting the Adair County Board of Supervisors approved routine business including the agenda and the March 4 minutes. The board approved claims totaling $19,268.34 (including $19,032.11 to Auxiant HRA Ins Trust) and recorded fund distributions to the General Fund, Rural Services and the Adair County Insurance Trust. The board approved township clerk wages of $80.00 for Amanda Pickrell and raised the on-call maintenance/snow-removal wage for Nathan Reed to $20.00 per hour, effective immediately.
Scott Roberts presented bids for updates to the treasurer's office (ceiling, flooring, electrical and paint); the lowest bids totaled approximately $16,600 for a dropped ceiling option. Because the work is not currently budgeted the board agreed to study the bids further and bring the item back for future consideration.
Why it matters: These routine approvals authorize county expenditures and adjust a staff wage effective immediately; the treasurer's office update was not funded at the meeting and will return for further consideration.
Next steps: Claims were processed and wage adjustments took effect; treasurer's office bids will be revisited by the board at a later meeting when funding is clarified.
