Cloud County commissioners approved multiple facilities contracts and related maintenance actions during their March 16 meeting.
On a motion by Commissioner Ron Copple, seconded by Commissioner Dannie Kearn, the Board unanimously approved a new elevator maintenance contract with Metro Elevator, Kansas City, effective April 1. At the same meeting the Board unanimously approved terminating the county’s prior elevator maintenance contract with TKE.
The Board also unanimously accepted a bid from Bruce Brown for installation of a 2.5‑ton mini‑split heating/cooling unit at a cost of $5,835.00. Maintenance Manager Jeff Thoman and Assistant Maintenance Manager Gary Will presented the related documents to commissioners before the votes.
The Board authorized a 20‑minute executive session under the confidential business data exception, to resume open session at 11:48 a.m.; Tim Beims, CloudCorp Director, and County Clerk Shella Thoman were included. No further public details of the executive session were recorded in the minutes.
