The Hueneme Elementary School District governing board voted to approve tentative agreements reached with the Hueneme Education Association (HEA) and to implement related salary adjustments.
Miss Marshall (presenting the business-services disclosure) told the board the district and HEA reached a tentative agreement that includes a 1.5% increase on the salary schedule retroactive to July 1, 2025. She said the district provided the required financial impact statement and the county office of education's review letter in the board packet under AB 1200 disclosure requirements.
Human-resources presenter Mr. Castellano recommended board approval of the tentative agreements and memoranda of understanding the district reached with HEA. The board moved, took roll call and approved the tentative agreements by unanimous vote.
Mr. Castellano also presented a salary adjustment for administrative and confidential employees consistent with the district's parity practice; the board approved that adjustment by roll call vote as well.
The actions in this meeting were informational and procedural disclosures, and the board recorded votes approving the tentative agreements and the administrative salary adjustments. The district will forward the financial impact statement to the county office of education as required by AB 1200.
