Council deadlocks on C-Tran board appointment after split roll-call vote

"What would even be the purpose of a counselor getting elected if they would just go along with another group of people?" Belcott said.
The council then took a roll-call vote on the nomination. The roll call recorded: Councilor Young — No; Councilor Little — Aye; Chair Marshall — No; Councilor Belkau — Aye. The chair declared the motion did not carry and the council said they would bring the nomination back when a full council could participate.
The appointment was not finalized. Councilors said the matter will be revisited at a future meeting when full membership is present.
