In the opening actions, trustees approved minutes from the July 13 special meeting. Mayor Nathaniel George Booker and trustees made several brief announcements; Acting Police Chief Elijah Willis announced the retirement of Richard Robinson and introduced newly hired Officer Jacob Nunez.
