Trustee (voice 3) said code enforcement should ensure consistent standards and suggested a motion to table if more discussion was needed.
Staff and trustees proposed a practical approach: ask staff to return in 30 days with examples of existing signs, proposed code text changes and options that would preserve driver-safety limits such as brightness controls. Trustee (voice 4) moved to table the ordinance for 30 days and the motion passed by roll call. Mayor Scott Gardner confirmed staff will circulate examples and bring recommended language back to the board for consideration.
