Council approves TWM engineering contracts for shared-use path and ADA intersection work

The Lebanon City Council voted to approve a design and engineering contract with TWM to convert a five-foot sidewalk into a 10-foot shared-use path and to approve a supplemental agreement tied to a Herman Street grant to make intersection ADA-compliant.
Councilors said the contract authorizes TWM to finalize engineering for the shared-use path allowing pedestrians and bicyclists to share a wider corridor. “That’ll allow for transportation to bike and pursue people that are walking to be on the same path,” a staff speaker (Speaker 7) said while describing the expansion.
Separately, the council approved a supplemental agreement for ADA intersection improvements related to a Herman Street grant that funds right-of-way and intersection work in 2026 and 2027; staff said the ADA work is needed to satisfy grant requirements. The motion to approve both the TWM contract and the ADA supplemental agreement was moved and seconded and passed on roll call.
Councilors noted the contracts are for design and engineering and not for construction; further approvals will be required when construction funding and bids are ready.
