Public commenters urge support for youth programs and press county on persistent private-road problems

Coraline Cesar Moore, CEO and co-founder of Boss Youth League, told the commission the nonprofit runs a leadership and entrepreneurship program that serves about 40 students across Montgomery County schools. Moore said the program keeps children engaged, reported a 100% retention rate among enrolled youth, and asked each commissioner for a $1,000 contribution to sustain summer travel and enrichment activities.
Willie Adams raised a separate, longer complaint about Adams Road, saying county staff and Vice Chair Carmen Moore Ziegler indicated they had spoken with or visited his area without notifying him. Adams disputed the county’s characterization that part of the route is a private road, noting that his mail is delivered to a mailbox on the road and that he has paid taxes. He also said a prior county site visit did not include notifying him and asked whether residents can legally perform road repairs themselves.
Chairman Singleton and other commissioners responded during the exchange, saying county maintenance ends where the paved county road turns to private dirt and noting a prior county drive-by on March 6. Commissioners also reminded Adams that public-comment time is limited to three minutes and that extended question-and-answer is constrained in that forum. The transcript records no formal action to change the status of Adams Road during the meeting.
The public comments also included a community announcement: Vice Chair Carmen Moore Ziegler said she and a city council member will host a free spring fling at Woodcrest Park on March 28; the deputy administrator announced two employees who completed probationary periods.
