The board approved the closure by voice vote.
Public Works also requested closing County Road 74 between County Roads 51 and 53 from April 15 through May 22, 2026, for bridge/road work; the detour uses paved or mag‑chloride‑treated roads and message boards will be placed in advance. The board approved the temporary closure.
For County Road 77, Public Works requested a longer closure between County Road 114 and County Road 122 from April 13 through Sept. 30, 2026, as part of an ongoing multi‑year project; Hettinger said the county expects to reopen the road May 17 for graduation and for Father's Day weekend for the rodeo to minimize community impact. Access for local traffic will be maintained and signage will be installed; the board approved the closure by voice vote.
All three closures were approved unanimously.
