The City Council unanimously approved a package of land-use actions March 17 to allow expansion of the Allegretto Vineyard Resort, clearing the way for an approximately 10.8-acre addition that would add hotel rooms, a conference center, villas and other amenities. City Planner Darren Nash described the proposal to reassign a cross‑hatched "bow tie" parcel (previously designated public facilities and owned by Cuesta College) to a parks-and-open-space designation with a resort-lodging overlay so it can be incorporated into the existing resort.
