Decatur board approves submission for JROTC program aimed at boosting attendance and graduation
The Decatur Public Schools board voted to approve submission of an application for a JROTC program for the 2027'28 school year. Presenters said the program is designed to improve attendance and graduation rates, will be cost-shared with the Army for instructor salaries, and requires two retired instructors; the board approved the submission 7-0.
