Staff summarized the proposed resolution and said it mirrors a previously discussed position that the board prefers local control over labor arrangements, noting that a decision by the governor was expected by April 13. A supervisor moved approval and the motion carried on a roll-call poll. The board asked staff to prepare a related resolution addressing Senate Bill 443 for consideration at a town-hall session on Monday if the bill is not signed before then.
