Public Works reports multiple infrastructure updates; booster pump project set for Jan. 12 hearing

Public Works staff reported a series of operational and capital updates at the City of Pacific workshop on Dec. 8, 2025, including pavement, drainage and water-system work.
Among the updates: drawings for the Ellingson Overlay are at 90% completion; hot-mix asphalt repairs are planned for Thornton Avenue; and street striping work is complete. Staff also said they are working on a replacement pumps list, creating standard operating procedures for the vactor truck and will update the water and sewer system plans.
Public Works announced that project PW-25-008, a booster pump project, will be brought to the council for consideration on Jan. 12, 2026. The minutes also record staff is evaluating liability and insurance requirements for an 'Adopt a Storm Pond' program and planning implementation of iamGIS software for asset management.
The minutes include a general update on local flood conditions but do not record specific engineering recommendations or a council vote on any capital project at the workshop.
