Service commission approves minutes and certifies two eligibility lists

The Norton Veil Service Commission met March 19 and approved the minutes from its Feb. 19 meeting before certifying two personnel eligibility lists, the chair said.

The commission voted to approve the minutes after a motion and a second; Miss Beck and Mister Conte were recorded as the mover and seconder, respectively, and the roll-call vote recorded Miss Beck, Mister Conte and Mister Holderbaugh as voting Yes. The chair then brought forward a motion to certify the police officer lateral transfer eligibility list; the motion was seconded and carried by the same unanimous roll-call result.

Following that, the commission considered and certified an operator eligibility list after a motion and second. The clerk recorded Yes votes from the three members present, approving the certification.

During other business a member asked staff to provide a list of all classified positions and the employees who occupy them by the commission’s next meeting. The commission accepted a motion to request that roster and set its next meeting for April 9 at 3:00 p.m.

The chair moved to adjourn at 3:10 p.m.; after a recorded second and unanimous Yes votes the meeting was adjourned.
