The Senate Education Committee voted to advance House Bill 1467, a bipartisan measure that would create an optional New Hampshire Seal of Civic Excellence and Engagement for students who demonstrate civic learning beyond minimum requirements. Chair (Speaker 1) opened the hearing and Representative Nick Germana, reading for prime sponsor Representative David Page, told the committee the seal would allow districts to recognize students on diplomas and transcripts for civic coursework, portfolios or participation in civic engagement activities.
