Committee advances bill to post menstrual‑disorder materials in schools

The House Health committee voted to release HB 223, which directs DHSS and DOE to develop medically accurate, age‑appropriate informational materials on menstrual disorders for schools, to the full House after sponsor Representative Johnson highlighted plans for online materials and visible links such as QR codes in student bathrooms and health centers.

Representative Johnson presented House Bill 223, saying the measure directs the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services, in partnership with the Department of Education, to "develop or maintain medically accurate age‑appropriate informational materials on menstrual disorders" and make them available online and through clear, visible links in student bathrooms and health centers.
