The board approved Warrant List No. 200503 in the amount of $1,551,344.44. Omnibus consent items approved (A–N, except M) included payments and project costs such as Allied Waste Service ($309,790.00), City of Chicago water services ($290,618.49), Blue Cross Blue Shield health premiums ($239,485.46), Triggi Construction (2020 Alley and Roadway Improvements, $205,439.58), Hancock Engineering ($62,308.00), and M&J Asphalt Paving Company (2020 MFT Roadway Improvement Project, $165,434.07). The board approved an ordinance authorizing façade-improvement expenditures in the Madison Street / 5th Avenue TIF Redevelopment Project Area and several redevelopment-sale items under the village’s tax reactivation program.
Trustees approved renewal of the professional-services contract with Verra Mobility Corporation (formerly American Traffic Solutions) to continue automated traffic law enforcement services from Dec. 31, 2020 through Dec. 31, 2021. Separately, the board approved a resolution authorizing a Third Amendment to the professional services agreement with American Traffic Solutions, LLC (now Verra Mobility) for continued system operation.
The board approved an amendment to the Host Community Benefit Agreement Addendum with Greenwood Transfer, LLC that shortens a required notice from 60 days to 14 days. The board also accepted a $35,248.23 Foreign Fire Insurance Tax allocation for the Maywood Fire Department that was distributed by the Illinois Municipal League.
Other approvals included authorization for ground-penetration work and temporary access at 1002 South 6th Avenue (Access Health & Housing, LLC) and a modest change to the 2021 Board meeting schedule (removing April 6 and moving the Dec. 21 meeting to Dec. 14). Where recorded, motions were approved by roll call; many omnibus items passed without substantive discussion.
