Committee approves technical and data-reporting items by consent; adjourns

Following debate and votes on HB 1408 and HB 1086, the House Committee on Education considered several consent items. Representative Paff’s amendment was discussed and taken by consent. House Bill 1242 was amended at the request of the Department of Education to adjust the way data are pulled and, with additional consent changes (including a request to extend reporting to charter schools), passed on a recorded 11–0 vote. The committee then adjourned.
