District presents LCAP midyear update and CUSD Forward implementation progress
Staff presented the midyear Local Control Accountability Plan update and a midyear snapshot of implementation of the district’s five‑year strategic plan (CUSD Forward); both items were informational and emphasized targets for unduplicated students, funding alignment and phased action plans using a RACI model.

The board received two information items connecting program funding and district strategy. Dr. Mary Petty presented the midyear Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) update, reviewing midyear outcome metrics, implementation data and expenditures tied to LCAP goals. She said the district had budgeted about $5.8 million in LCAP expenditures for 2025–26 and recorded approximately $2.6 million in expenditures as of Dec. 31, 2025, and that the LCAP is primarily aimed at unduplicated students (socioeconomically disadvantaged students, English learners and foster/homeless youth).
