Chairman Chris Vanness relayed a resident complaint at the April 7, 2026, Franklin County Board of Supervisors meeting that the local radio station’s agenda summary did not include sufficient drainage‑related details and that drainage minutes were not included in the Supervisors’ minutes. Auditor Katy A. Flint responded that the radio station is provided the full agenda and that the Iowa Drainage District Association (IDDA) legal counsel had advised that drainage business be recorded separately because the Supervisors act as Drainage Trustees when conducting drainage meetings.
