Newark Library project: 40,000+ sq ft building, automated system; July 2027 completion still on track

Public Works reported that the Newark Library at Main Street and Library Ave will be a two-story, roughly 40,000–43,000 sq ft building with performance space, meeting rooms and New Castle County's first automated materials handling system; site work is underway and the department expects completion around July 2027.
