Boone County awards contract to replace courthouse rooftop unit

ALBION, Neb. — The Boone County Board of Commissioners voted March 16 to accept a vendor quote and move forward with replacement of the courthouse rooftop HVAC unit.
Rod Neslon, identified in the meeting record as courthouse maintenance, presented competing quotes for a York 5-ton rooftop unit. Volkman Plumbing & Heating Inc. submitted a bid that included electrical work, with a quoted total of approximately $18,575. County commissioners approved accepting Volkman’s quote by unanimous roll-call vote.
Commissioner Brian J. Yosten made the motion to accept the Volkman quote, which Commissioner Matt Niewohner seconded. The board authorized the purchase and directed follow-up coordination for scheduling and electrical work.
