The Hermantown City Council approved the consent agenda, which included approval of warrants, a construction pay request and disposition of surplus equipment.
Council voted to approve general city warrants from Feb. 1 through Feb. 15, 2026, totaling $1,138,534.19. The council also approved Resolution 2026-22, authorizing pay request No. 21 for North Star Ford Arena to Kraus Anderson Construction Company in the amount of $131,831.78.
Resolution 2026-23 authorized disposition of surplus fitness-room equipment. Chief Grace (Speaker 1) described the equipment as having been in service for more than 25 years and recommended donating suitable pieces to the Hermantown hockey program; he said some items are not reusable and others would be offered to local youth sports. “My recommendation is to donate the [fitness] equipment to the Hermantown hockey program,” the chief said.
Councilor Gelli moved to approve the consent agenda and Councilor Peterson seconded; roll-call responses were recorded as 'Aye' by members and the mayor and the consent items passed.
Other, non-substantive announcements at the start of the meeting included congratulations to the Mirage girls’ team for a section 7 championship and a reminder that the winter parking ordinance is in effect through April 15 (restricted hours 2 a.m.–6 a.m.).
Next procedural steps: the equipment donation will be handled according to city surplus property procedures and the pay request will be processed through accounts payable per usual city contracting processes.
