Henefer — Town public-works staff told the Henefer Town Council on March 3 that secondary (irrigation) water is scheduled to begin on May 15 and that the municipality will provide information and hardware to residents.
Ty Bailey presented a draft letter about secondary water that will be mailed with residents’ utility bills and said the town will stock secondary-water hardware parts at the town office for purchase. Bailey suggested adding step-by-step instructional diagrams or videos to the town website so residents can install or maintain necessary components; he also noted staff and council will be trained on pump operation prior to the May 15 turn-on and that pump maintenance needs were discussed.
Why it matters: Secondary-water turn-on and accessible parts can reduce service disruptions and confusion for residents; a clear communications plan and hands-on training for staff are intended to reduce installation errors and after-hours service calls.
