The board considered proposed amendments to the city code that would allow accessory structures (for example sheds, gazebos and small enclosed structures) to be placed closer to the secondary-street side of corner lots while preserving setback rules and engineering requirements for permanent structures. Staff explained the changes are intended as housekeeping to reduce the number of Board of Adjustment variance requests for common corner‑lot situations.
