Minooka CHSD 111 board hears updated e‑learning plan; no public concerns at hearing

Pakowski told the board the updated plan removes software that is no longer used and adjusts the district’s e-learning schedule to match the MEA Memorandum of Understanding. He said the district published public notice of the hearing on Aug. 27, 2025, and sent communications to staff and parents/guardians on Sept. 2, 2025. Pending board approval, the plan will be shared with the Grundy County Regional Office of Education and the Illinois State Board of Education and would take effect for a three-year period.
Board discussion included questions about student internet access. Dr. Rob Schiffbauer reported that “there are various hotspots available throughout the district,” noting district efforts to support connectivity for students who might lack reliable home internet. The transcript records no substantive objections from board members during the hearing; administrators and board members indicated there were no concerns that would prevent approval at the regular board meeting.
The hearing was adjourned at 6:13 p.m. after a motion by Jim Grzetich, seconded by Mike Hoyt; the vote was recorded as carried. The plan will proceed to the board’s regular meeting for any formal adoption vote and will be forwarded to the regional and state education offices as required.
