Ashley Jackson, an engineer with Westlaw Engineering, reported to the Hamilton County Regional Utility District that project work is still underway and that Lift Station 6 — previously on hold — should be starting back up mid-week, weather permitting.
“We have received preliminary pricing and a Gmax price from Reynolds, who was the selected contractor for Phase 3, that is currently under review,” Jackson said. Board members asked when final numbers would be available for council review. Jackson and staff replied that pricing is under review and, because an earlier bid returned more stringent than expected, they may seek alternative quotes after the internal review.
On the design front, staff said the line-extension design is about 90% complete and that a 90% design package is required to go to bid. Staff also reported that funds for a land purchase are in place and right-of-way plans are being prepared. The board did not take any procurement action at the meeting; staff will return with recommendations once review of the pricing is complete.
The board moved from this item to attorney and public-comment items, heard no public comments, and adjourned. The next regular meeting is scheduled for May 11, 2026.
