The Planning & Zoning Commission approved two minor subdivision proposals on March 11: a roughly 5-acre split from a larger farm parcel in Green River for the Dean and Hilda King Trust, and a proposed four-lot division near 1510 South Lawrence Road presented by Darrel Guymon.
For the King Trust parcel, commissioners confirmed there is no new construction planned, access and utilities will remain unchanged and the existing home will remain. The Commission voted unanimously to approve the minor subdivision.
Darrel Guymon explained the Lawrence proposal would create three new lots plus an existing lot (four total), each at least two acres with approximately 150 feet of road frontage and individual driveway access. The applicant presented documentation indicating water availability (water shares to be provided incrementally as building permits are obtained) and that the Road Department has approved access/encroachments; septic systems will be required and Health Department approval must be obtained prior to building permits. Commissioners approved the Lawrence minor subdivision contingent upon meeting all county requirements, noting the applicant will need to complete a formal survey and secure Health Department septic approvals.
Both approvals were unanimous; conditions and next steps were recorded in the meeting minutes.
