Buchanan County adopts FY27 secondary road budget and five-year construction program
Summary
The Board approved the FY27 Iowa DOT Secondary Road Budget and the county’s five-year secondary roads construction program and authorized the County Engineer to submit the documents to the Iowa Department of Transportation, as required by state law.
Buchanan County supervisors on April 6 approved the FY27 Secondary Road Budget and the Five-Year Secondary Roads Construction Program and authorized County Engineer Alex Davis to submit the documents to the Iowa Department of Transportation.
The resolution adopting the FY27 secondary road budget and five-year construction program was approved unanimously (Resolution 26-41). The board noted Iowa Code requires submission to the Iowa DOT by April 30 each year; the adopted program will be forwarded for state review.
The action authorizes the county engineer to carry forward the proposed construction plan and budget to the Iowa DOT for approval and to proceed with project planning in accordance with the adopted five-year schedule.
