The Hooker County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously on March 12, 2026 to surplus the county's old maintenance building and lot and to publish a public hearing date; the county attorney was directed to send a letter regarding a separate private-property sign concern.

Chairman Bryan Crisp moved that Hooker County surplus the old maintenance building and lot and publish a hearing date to consider the surplus; Commissioner Julie Kraye seconded the motion and the board approved it by a roll call vote of three ayes.
