Summary
Staff told the board PSBA will stop supporting BoardDocs June 30 and recommended vetting PSBA’s Keystone Agenda/policy portal as a replacement; board asked staff to provide demos and cost details before a decision.
Conestoga Valley staff briefed the board on April 13 that the Pennsylvania School Boards Association (PSBA) will stop supporting BoardDocs on June 30 and is offering its own Keystone Agenda and policy portal as a replacement.
Dr. Hartman and staff said PSBA plans to migrate policy content and that districts using BoardDocs will need either a PSBA account for the policy component or an alternative agenda tool. Dr. Hartman described BoardDocs reliability problems and framed the decision as one staff should vet; "we trust their judgment to pick whatever's best," he said, while promising a demonstration and more technical detail.
Board members urged staff to return with a demo, cost information and clarity about attachment handling and migration timing. Missus Martin said an invoice from PSBA is pending and staff will coordinate migration once the district advises PSBA of its choice. Staff recommended continuing to explore PSBA’s portal while keeping alternatives under consideration.
