Housing official reports progress on Perry County flood recovery and Skyview Estates
A housing official, Scott, told the Perry County fiscal court the regional flood recovery effort has repaired or built more than 150 homes and that Skyview Estates — a 100-site high-ground project — has occupied model homes and dozens of lots awarded to nonprofit builders.

Scott, a guest housing presenter, told the Perry County fiscal court the region has repaired 114 homes since the floods, 59 of them in Perry County, and built 44 new homes, 27 in Perry County. "So, altogether we served 160 households, 88 of those were in Perry County," he said. He said about $12,500,000 of recovery work has been carried out regionally since the flood and that 30 recovery homes are currently under construction.
