Hoffman Estates committees approve IRMF agent appointment, remove obsolete ADA code and authorize $110,000 testing contract

Do Ziolkowski told trustees the role includes staying informed on IMRF rules, authorizing employee and retiree forms and answering related questions. At the Transportation and Road Improvement Committee, members voted to amend the municipal code to remove a previously coded ADA parking space at 2161 Somersworth Place because the space is no longer needed. The ordinance amendment passed after staff described the space as previously requested, coded and now determined unnecessary.
The Transportation committee also approved a resolution authorizing an agreement with Applied Geoscience Incorporated of Schaumburg for inspection and testing services for 2026 infrastructure projects, not to exceed $110,000. Alan (transportation staff) described the contract as the annual professional services agreement used for materials testing and geotechnical support for capital projects.
