Planning Commission sets April 14 hearing on extra access requirements for large developments

On March 24, 2026, the Enoch City Planning Commission voted to set a public hearing for April 14 to consider amendments to Sections 12.2800.2804 and 12.2300.2304 that would establish additional access requirements for developments containing more than specified numbers of dwelling units or commercial lots.
City Manager Ryan Robinson explained the existing code requires a second ingress and egress once a development reaches 80 homes and said staff proposes adding a third ingress/egress requirement when developments reach 300 homes to reflect larger modern subdivisions. Commissioner David Hoopes moved to set the hearing; Commissioner Kyle Jones seconded and the commission voted in favor.
The hearing will allow staff, developers and residents to comment on whether the proposed thresholds and access requirements are appropriate for safety and traffic circulation in large-scale developments.
