The Rock Ridge School Board voted to accept a $150,000 cash offer for the district’s Gilbert property after hearing competing bids for full and partial parcels.
A staff member presenting offers told trustees the full-parcel proposal was all cash, included $10,000 earnest money and called for closing on or before May 15; the buyer requested that the City of Gilbert release any easements or rights-of-way that run through the parcels. The partial-parcel offer—covering six of the 12 listed parcels—was for $76,700 with 80% mortgage financing and a June 1 closing and included an 80/20 financing split and a request for first right of refusal on the bus garage at tax value.
A board member moved to accept the $150,000 full-parcel offer and the motion passed with one abstention (recorded as 6–0–1). Trustees asked administration to confirm whether the bus garage would remain in district use until May 30 and to coordinate with the City of Gilbert on easement issues.
The listing agent and administrators said discussions with the city about easement releases were positive but not yet in writing. Trustees did not vote on easement language at this meeting; the contract acceptance directs staff to continue closing procedures and to clarify any City of Gilbert requirements before final conveyance.
The board’s vote was recorded under agenda item 6.20.1 and the acceptance included standard earnest-money terms and a targeted closing date.
