Atchison County adopts solid-waste plan and raises transfer-station tipping fees
The commission approved the Solid Waste Management Plan annual review and approved new tipping fees effective Jan. 1, 2026: $50.17/ton for municipal solid waste, $103/ton for recyclable loads, and a $50/ton construction/demolition rate; fees will support the department alongside a 0.75% sales tax.
