Supervisors and staff discussed equipment readiness, noting the distributor truck used for the program has an aging chassis and replacement or retrofit options may be needed in coming years. The director said the county has the equipment and personnel to run the program this season and proposed opening sign‑ups next week, running through May 1, with most payments expected in late April.
A motion to approve the MC‑70 application and pricing for 2026 passed at the meeting. The director said staff will continue to monitor equipment needs and recommend replacements or alternatives as required by wear and parts availability.
