Daniel Planning Commission sets April 15 public hearing for Wildland Urban Interface map required by HB 48
The Commission set a public hearing for April 15, 2026 to adopt a Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) boundary and the 2006 WUI code as required by Utah’s HB 48 (2025); Fire District recommended Daniels Creek and Little Sweden Road as boundary markers.

Deputy Clerk/Recorder Merry Duggin told the Planning Commission on March 18 that HB 48, passed by the 2025 Utah Legislature, requires municipalities to adopt the 2006 Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) Code and designate a WUI boundary on a town map. The Commission voted to set a public hearing on April 15, 2026 to consider the WUI boundary and code adoption.
