Deborah Adams of Cordova testified in support, describing caring for her husband with dementia and urging specialized training so CNAs can meet late‑stage care needs with dignity. "The specialized care would give them the dignity that they need," she said.
Co‑Chair Fields moved to report HB244 out of committee with individual recommendations and accompanying fiscal notes; with no objection, the committee reported the bill out. The committee set a prior amendment deadline earlier in the day and received one amendment that was not offered in committee.
