Forest Park council approves bills, grants, contracts and personnel motion in unanimous votes
Summary

The Village Council of Forest Park handled a slate of routine but consequential items on Nov. 10, approving bills and multiple ordinances and resolutions by unanimous roll-call votes.
The clerk read aggregate departmental bills totaling $492,160.70 and the council adopted the resolution to dispense with the reading and approve payment (Resolution 113-25). The council then approved a set of ordinances and resolutions without extended debate:
- Ordinance 49-25: authorized Forest Park’s membership in the Illinois Public Works Mutual Aid Network and execution of the revised agreement. - Resolution 114-25: approved specifications and authorized advertising bids for the Village of Forest Park Lehi service replacement project, Stage 3. - Resolution 115-25: authorized acceptance and execution of an IDOT High Visibility Enforcement grant for FY26. - Resolution 116-25: approved pay request number 8 to BRG Central for the AMI water meters replacement project. - Resolution 117-25: approved and ratified execution of a less-lethal device agreement for law enforcement with Elias (vendor as read). - Resolution 118-25: approved a dedicated internet and IP services pricing-schedule agreement with AT&T.
The council also approved a motion directing the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners to offer employment to the next eligible probationary police officer; the motion was moved, seconded and carried. In a separate motion the council approved a raffle permit for the Forest Park Historical Society’s 50th-anniversary celebration on Nov. 15.
All recorded votes on these items were affirmative. Where votes were called by the clerk, the record showed ayes from Commissioner Maxim, Commissioner Nero, Commissioner Melon Rogovin, Commissioner Vogt and Mayor Hoskins.
Why it matters: The package of actions authorizes capital project bidding, advances personnel processes, secures public-safety grant funding and confirms routine contracts that sustain village operations.
Next steps and follow-up: staff will advertise bids per Resolution 114-25, process pay request #8 with BRG Central under Resolution 116-25, and execute the AT&T and less-lethal agreements per the approved resolutions.
