Students present NHI club to the board; district thanks Busby Ventures for spirit‑shirt donation

Dr. Theron Schutte publicly thanked Busby Ventures for committing to pay for T‑shirts distributed across preschool through fourth grade; he said pictures of students in the shirts reflected a boost in pride. A district representative also said another local business/Marshalltown company has committed to sponsor a second year.
Students highlighted NHI’s role in building confidence, public speaking and cross‑cultural connections; district leaders called the program inclusive and likened it to leadership programs such as Boys/Girls State but more broadly accessible.
What’s next: students will continue recruitment and fundraising efforts; administrators said they will promote opportunities for younger students to learn about NHI.
