The Medford Area Public School District Board of Education re-elected Dave Fleegel as board president and completed officer elections and representative appointments at its April 25, 2022 meeting in the district office board room.
Brian Hallgren and Don Everhard nominated Fleegel for president; the board moved to close nominations and cast a unanimous ballot to re-elect Fleegel. A contested vice-president vote resulted in John Zuleger receiving five votes to Don Everhard’s four, electing Zuleger vice president. Jodi Nuernberger was chosen as clerk and Brian Hallgren as treasurer by unanimous ballots.
The board also approved appointments to external and internal bodies. Jodi Nuernberger was named the WASB (Wisconsin Association of School Boards) delegate and Steve Deml the WASB alternate. John Zuleger nominated Dave Fleegel as the CESA representative and Don Everhard as the CESA alternate; both nominations passed.
President Fleegel said the meeting had been posted in accordance with the state open meeting law. He also said he will distribute committee assignments and share them when complete; the swearing-in of new board members took place during the meeting.
