On the digital hall pass, Schwartzkopf said the district will use a dashboard so administrators can view passes as they are created, flag passes that expire (five‑minute default) and monitor groups to prevent students who do not get along from being out at the same time. "The system's capable of collecting that data, for sure," he said, and noted that administrators will decide how to use those logs.
Board members asked whether the hall pass would collect data on patterns of students leaving class; the technology lead confirmed logs exist and can be configured to produce dashboards and alerts for administrative follow up. The district also reported work repairing cameras, installing battery backups and adding outdoor Wi‑Fi at one site as part of an overall tech maintenance cycle.
Officials said they aim to finalize the technology budget and will bring further details about how logs are used and retention policies as the systems move into operation.
