Trustee James (Mike) Blaies reported that the planning and zoning board held two matters at its recent hearing.
The first was a request from Gerald Williams to change zoning at 10 Southgate Drive to B-2 Highway Business. Trustee Blaies said the zoning board did not agree with Mr. Williams’ request and asked for an attorney's opinion; the hearing will be continued at the combined board meeting in November.
The second matter was a review of exterior building materials for a proposed Coffee Pot. Mr. Brain Nickas of Nickas Architecture, Inc. presented the materials the applicant intends to use; the zoning board motioned to approve the proposed product list and the motion passed with four yes votes.
The planning matters will return to the board in November for continued review of the zoning amendment. No formal votes on the rezoning were recorded at the Oct. 20 meeting.
