The Lexington City Council conducted routine business and several event approvals at its regular meeting on Monday, Sept. 8, at City Hall. Mayor Allen Retzlaff presided.
Council actions recorded in the meeting included approval of the Aug. 11 regular meeting and budget workshop minutes and payment of August bills. The council granted a variance to allow a mobile home for Wilbert Taylor at 902 Ninth Street and approved an interlocal Contract for Services with the Lee County Tax Office.
The council approved street closures for National Night Out (Main, Third, Fourth and Wheatley around the square) and authorized the Lexington Chamber of Commerce, Lexington Community Enterprises and the Lexington Rodeo Association to host a rodeo, dance and…
