The Jackson County Board of Commissioners approved three procurement and license orders at its March 25 meeting.
Order No. 75-26 authorizes a foundation agreement with Broadcom Inc., through authorized seller CDW Government, to provide virtual servers to support county server needs. County Administrator Danny Jordan said the platform preserves system reliability and compatibility. Commissioner Randy Sparacino moved to approve the order; Commissioner Colleen Roberts seconded and the motion passed with Commissioners Sparacino, Roberts and Dyer voting aye.
Order No. 76-26 authorizes a construction contract with Pave Northwest, Inc., to slurry seal two 2.7-mile portions of the Bear Creek Greenway Path: one segment from Lynn Newbry Park to Blue Heron Park and a second from Lynn Newbry Park to Eagle Mill Road in Ashland. Jordan said the county solicited three informal quotes and Pave Northwest submitted the lowest. Commissioner Roberts moved approval; Commissioner Sparacino seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Order No. 77-26 approves an End User License Agreement and terms with reMarkable, a digital notetaking and document-management platform, for use by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. Jordan said the platform will consolidate operational notes, reports and training materials into a single secure environment, reducing fragmented documentation. Commissioner Sparacino moved approval; Commissioner Roberts seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The Board approved these orders by roll call following brief staff presentations; each motion passed with the three commissioners voting aye. The meeting adjourned at 9:57 a.m.
